The Nazi Holocaust meant all but nothing to me as a child (even though I had close associations with survivors), and even as an adult I’ve had a very limited interest in the horrors. What has interested me was how people adapted, how they responded, and how they learned or failed to learn from what happened. There are some very interesting things to see here.
