Our Theory of Knowledge Has Failed

Our conventional wisdom regarding knowledge and ignorance – that ignorance underlies human problems and that knowledge is the solution – has been exposed as incorrect. For twenty years, almost the whole of human knowledge has been available anywhere, any time, at a negligible cost. And yet almost nothing has changed.

Knowledge is not the cleansing agent so many of us held it to be, and it is not the seed of personal improvement. Acknowledging this, however, opens a path forward, which this issue also examines.
