The New Model of Self-Experience

It’s hard to imagine something more fundamentally human than self-experience. But as it happens, we’ve been doing self-experience wrong. Not entirely wrong, of course, but quite a bit. “Wrong” here isn’t a personal opinion; I’m basing it upon a system analysis: “Right,” within such an analysis, would be a condition in which the various parts were interacting smoothly. “Wrong” would be where they were working against one another.

Our system analysis does something far more important than seeing how we’ve done self-experience wrong: it shows us how to do it right.
