Carl Jung thought he was living through the right time for what the Greeks called “a metamorphosis of the gods.” By that he referred to “a changing of fundamental principles and symbols.” Jung was a bit early, as we see in retrospect, but it appears that a changing of fundamental principles is upon us, or at least the start of such a change.
